I was originally trained in technical theatre, including set and costume design, scenic painting and prop making which gave me good experience working in different mediums. I concentrated on my figurative paintings and started exhibiting paintings and sculptures in 2003.
Over the past five years I have deepened my knowledge of painting and am currently working on a "Translucent series" combining my love of classical style with the freedom of abstracts.
An explosion of colour on the canvas painted with an expression of freedom with the human form emerging from within, instilling the onlooker with a feeling of calm despite the chaos beyond.
